Chef-owner Ron Nugent has many memories as a young boy enjoying summers on the white sandy beaches of Long Beach Island, New Jersey. This picture taken in 1966 of the Nugent boys (from left), Ron, Ray Sr., Bob and Ken, features Hansen surfboards purchased from the original Ron-Jon surf shop in Ship Bottom, N.J. The Nugent's were renowned for their clambakes and seafood feasts throughout the years. The first restaurant was started in 1981 with take-out only. Today the family operates several full service restaurants and enjoys the same family traditions of the years past. |
